My name is Tina Motz and I am a mechanical engineer by profession. That may sound somewhat surprising to you, but both design and photography need a lot of creativity and planning, as well as some spontaneity. Photography is my balance between my job and the real world. I grew up in Germany in a former mining area, which wasn’t the best place to develop photographing skills but my parents took me out as often as possible for holiday and weekend trips.
My first camera was a Sony Digital camera when I was maybe nine years old, I still have it but it’s part of the bookshelf now. Now I’m shooting with Canon DSLRs. It was always my dream to capture the amazing places that this planet has, and show those who didn’t know of them or couldn’t visit them. It is my hope that I can bring across the beauty of the places shown in this exhibition, and that all viewing them enjoy them as much as I enjoyed capturing them.
