Iain is a part-time photographer who likes to focus on the cultural imprint on the landscape of the north-west of Scotland. He lives in Lochalsh, just a short hop and a skip from the fabulous Isle of Skye and the mountains, coastline and crofting landscape of Wester Ross.
A relative newcomer to more serious photography, and as an employee of a national conservation charity, he is always seeking to incorporate his knowledge of the environment and land use in his photographic work. He shoots primarily in digital but also has a range of 35mm, medium format and large format film cameras which he enjoys playing with from time to time, and then developing the black & white images in his own darkroom.
Iain has been commended in the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards and has won a John Muir Award as well.
